Now Looking for Work: Christian Slater, Brooke Shields

NBC has cancelled two of its higher-profile but lower-rated series: rookie My Own Worst Enemy and sophomore Lipstick Jungle. Yet Knight Rider remains!

Leading up to the fall season, Enemy was expected by many to be a TV hit and a proper comeback vehicle for its star Christian Slater.

But alas, viewers weren’t as enthusiastic as predicted: Enemy has averaged just 5.9 million viewers in its four episodes so far. By comparison, that’s about 2.5 million fewer viewers than the criminally underwatched 30 Rock.

As for the female-aimed Jungle, viewers just didn’t seem to care that it was written by Sex and the City’s Candace Bushnell, and as a result Brooke Shields and Co. will have to look for new jobs.

No word yet on when the final episodes for each show will air, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
