‘Ray Donovan’ and ‘Dexter’ Snag Killer Ratings For Showtime

Last night was a fantastic night for the folks at Showtime. Don’t believe us? Let’s take a look at the numbers.

Showtime’s newest original drama Ray Donovan had the biggest original series debut in the cable network’s history last night. Liev Schreiber lead the show to 2.22 million viewers—snatching the title as the number one new Showtime series since Homeland’s premiere in 2011.

And what about our favorite deranged serial killer? The eighth and finale season premiere of Dexter debuted with 3.2 million viewers. These numbers are an all-time high for the drama’s eight-year history edging out its previous record-breaker during the Season 7 premiere. Way to go Showtime! You’re dramas are terrifyingly addictive.
