Sons of Anarchy RecordThe gang from Sons of Anarchy certainly go on some wild rides, and they’re recruiting fans by the season. According to The Hollywood Reporter, if anyone had any doubts about FX’s most-watched in network history series, it succeeded in achieving a new record in ratings for the season five premiere. Tuesday night’s 10PM broadcast pulled in 5.47 million viewers, with 3.5 million of those viewers in the coveted adults 18-49 demographic.

“It’s so rare, especially in the current fragmented environment, to see a show grow into its fifth season,” explained FX Networks President and General Manager John Landgraf. “The fact that the season five premiere episode is also likely to become FX’s highest rated telecast of all time is a testament to the quality of work Kurt Sutter, the writers, directors, cast and crew have done on this extraordinarily ambitious and riveting drama.”

The outlaw motorcycle gang presented their number one cable broadcast on Tuesday night, which grew ten percent of its total viewers from the previous record-holding season four premiere. If that wasn’t enough reason to celebrate, it’s being reported that these current numbers could be on track to be FX’s biggest single telecast ever. Way to go, SAMCRO!
