‘The Walking Dead’ Already Renewed For Season 3

The Walking Dead Rick AMCIn news that doesn’t surprise anyone who’s aware of the awesomeness that is AMC’s The Walking Dead, the story-loving network has already renewed the horror series after airing just two episodes of its sophomore season. It could have something to do with the incredible ratings (the premeire garnered 7.3 million viewers) or it could have something to do with the quality of the writing…and the acting…and the zombie-mayhem-killing-blood-guts-terror madness.

Here’s the official word from AMC:

Today we are pleased to announce that the ‘dead’ shall live as we proudly renew The Walking Dead for a third season on AMC and, globally, with our terrific partners at Fox International Channels. We are thankful for everyone’s contribution in front of and behind the camera as we continue to make The Walking Dead a unique television experience. And, we are so proud as it continues to set viewership records around the world.
