Tina Fey’s ‘Saturday Night Live’ Promo Is Full of ‘Breaking Bad’ References and Nip Slips

Saturday Night Live has a reputation for not being the most consistent variety show on television; however, with Tina Fey hosting the season premiere and a whole new slew of cast members taking the stage, this season might be leading to another high point in SNL‘s history.

NBC released the official promos for this week’s show with Fey and Kenan Thompson introducing what’s to come. (Did anyone else wonder why they paired Thompson with Fey instead of the likes of Jason Sudeikis or Fred Armisen and then sadly remember that he’s basically the only veteran male cast member left since everyone else left the show?).

From Breaking Bad references (promising that SNL would be over in time for fans to watch BB) to questioning why Thompson doesn’t seem to age, Fey reminds us why she’s one of the best comedians out there, and more importantly, why we should all tune into this week’s episode. But out of all of the mini-promos, the most memorable clip is Fey making fun of her own nip slip that she had during the Emmys, which you could only see if you were using a magnifying glass and watching it in super slow motion. Fey confidently tells Kenan that there will be no more wardrobe malfunctions in her future  cut to her blazer opening up and revealing that she forgot to put on a shirt underneath. Oh, Tina. Even a silly nip slip gag is enough to make us smile.

Season 39 of Saturday Night Live premieres on Sept. 28 with musical guest Arcade Fire.
