It took a lot of time and negotiations, but Showtime has renewed its longest-running show, Weeds, for and eighth season.
There will be 13 episodes in what will likely be the series’ last season. Production will begin next year.
Mary-Louise Parker, who along with the show has been Emmy-nominated several times but never won (save for sound mixing and cinematography), stars as pot-dealing suburban mother/widow Nancy Botwin on Weeds, created by Jenji Kohan.
