Bippity poppity
Give me the zoppity! The Office returned with an all new episode that left us wondering: Is Pam going to steal Jim away from Karen? A heartbroken Roy attempts to cause bodily harm to Jim after he finds out he and Pam shared a kiss before their intended nuptials. Luckily for Jim, Dwight pepper sprays him before any blood is shed. Meanwhile, Michael realizes his salary is not as high as it should be, so he drives to the New York branch seeking a raise from Jan — his boss AND girlfriend. The negotiations don’t go as smoothly as either had hoped because Michael can’t seem to separate business from pleasure. He’s jealous of her new hottie male assistant and embarrassed that he accidentally cross-dressed that day in a woman’s pant suit. But in the end, Michael’s raise leaves him satisfied and smiling because it’s bigger than he imagined. That’s what she said!
Man in uniform
A fresh season of The Bachelor: Officer and Gentleman (yes, there’s a theme) started Monday night with an introduction to Lieutenant Andy Baldwin, the new bachelor looking for love. He’s not only a navy doctor, Ironman competitor, AND a humanitarian but he has the abs of a Greek God. So, why does he need ABC’s help? After meeting 25 beautiful, smart (well…) women, he gives the “First Impression Rose” to Stephanie. And out come the claws! The alcohol doesn’t help the situation either, and by end of the evening many of the girls are slurring their words. But that doesn’t stop some of the ladies from doing everything possible to get Andy’s attention. Two girls drunkenly bake him a birthday cake, while others show off their athletic abilities. But the worst attempt came from a contestant who sang an off key version of the “Star Spangled Banner” that literally brought tears to his eyes–whether they were tears of happiness or utter terror we may never know. But the party came to an end for 10 of the contestants that night. I guess it’s back to meeting men the old fashioned way.
Above and beyond
American Idol’s Melinda Doolittle is on a whole different level of this season’s competition. Her performances have so much feeling–and I have yet to be disappointed by them. Even Simon had to admit that they would probably never be able to criticize her–she’s that good. Sanjaya was so excited to meet his American Idol, Tony Bennett, that it looked like he needed to change his pants. Gina brought Tony to tears with her rendition of “Smile,” and all Simon could say about Haley’s performance was that she has nice… legs? But that didn’t save either of them from being in the bottom three. Joining them was Phil, who didn’t stay there for long. Ryan sent him back to his seat immediately. Unfortunately, Gina didn’t win over America’s vote and she was sent home.

The day has come on Tori and Dean: Inn Love for the lovebirds to make a bid on their dream Bed and Breakfast in Fallbrook, Calif. After their offer is accepted, they pack up and move out of Los Angeles to settle into their new house. In an attempt to win over the neighbors, Tori and Dean bake cupcakes and bring refreshments to the newcomers meeting. After Dean realizes he’s “the only sausage” there, he decides to pass the time by getting drunk at the wine tasting event. While he feels right at home catching squirrels in the backyard, Tori is having more trouble adjusting to life in the country. She can’t believe the local restaurants don’t offer delivery; whereas Dean is stunned the local video store doesn’t have an Adult Section. Welcome home!
Packs a punch
I’m sure Wednesday night’s episode of Lost got the attention of the male viewers. A girl fight broke out between Kate and Juliet in the middle of the jungle–complete with mud wrestling. It all started after Locke came in to Kate’s holding cell to say goodbye–he was leaving with The Others. But where were they going? Locke blew up the submarine, remember? The next thing you know, they are gassing Kate, and she wakes up handcuffed to Juliet. So what were the gals fighting about? Read Hollywood.com’s Lost recap to find out.
Fast Forward
Grey’s Anatomy returns with an all new episode that has Izzie coming to terms with her past. Will we finally learn more about the child she gave up for adoption? On Lost, Kate’s feelings for Jack come to a head after she sees him with Juliet. Also, on Tori and Dean: Inn Love, the couple gets ready to open their Bed and Breakfast to the public.
