Do you like the world as it is now? No, right? Really looking forward to the inevitable zombie apocalypse? Then, according to Joss Whedon, Mitt Romney is your man! Whedon firmly believes in the ability of Romney’s plan to lead America forward, and it sounds a lot like leading the world towards a horde of brain-eating undead into our ever-loving arms. Wait…what? (Sounds like a job for The Avengers. Iron Man, save us all!)
With the election less than two weeks away, it comes as no surprise that people with a bit of influence in popular culture are taking to the airwaves (and radio waves, and…intertubes?) to vouch for their own candidate’s platform. And with the race seemingly neck-and-neck, the stakes for the country’s future are awash in the fever-pitch buzzing of political punditry—even from people who aren’t actual pundits. You cannot go 30 seconds without a mention of the presidential race, as each side attempts to educate and convince the masses they are the candidate worth voting for on Tuesday, November 6th.
Regardless of your own political affiliations, the video is also a very funny way at looking at how heated, overstated, and ridiculous the fighting has gotten on either side. Frankly, I think we can all be glad we’ve at least moved past the Big Bird references.
I think the biggest question is whether or not Barack Obama is for or against a zombie apocalypse. Your move, Mr. President.
