The Daily Shuffle: Bristol Palin Admits to Surgery

bristol palinLast week we saw pictures of Bristol Palin’s new appearance that were most obviously the result of surgery. And today, she actually admitted undergoing a procedure! She told Us Weekly, “Yes, it improved the way I look, but this surgery was necessary for medical reasons. I look older, more mature and I don’t have as much of a chubby little baby face.” She clarified the aforementioned “medical reason” as having an overbite, and that the dentist she had as a child said that braces could help but that she’d have to have surgery one day. And yes, the absolute best way to defend a surgery to correct your overbite is to talk about your baby fat, in case you were wondering. – Access Hollywood

Arnold Schwarzenegger has commented on his split from Maria Shriver: “We both love each other very much. We’re very fortunate to have our extraordinary children. And we’re taking it one day at a time. The bottom line is that we want to thank all the people for their great, great support.” As for their “extraordinary children,” Patrick Schwarzenegger tweeted yesterday, “Appreciate all your messages. Small speed bump I’n life, luckily we own hummers. All will be okay. #peace.” – People, Radar

The last time Oprah saw James Frey was when he was on her show in 2006, when she said he “conned us all” by filling his nonfiction book, “A Million Little Pieces,” with fabricated stories (that he called something like “embellishments”). But Oprah has since recognized that she was wrong to criticize him so heavily, and she’s agreed to have him appear on two separate occasions (May 16th and May 17th) before her show officially ends. – Popeater
