George Clooney: An American Cinematheque Tribute airs Wednesday at 8/7c on AMC
The spotlight falls squarely on the shoulders of charming, always-pranking, George Clooney, who gets honored tonight on AMC’s airing of George Clooney: An American Cinematheque Tribute.
The director of 2002’s Confessions of a Dangerous Mind and 2005’s Oscar-nominated Good Night, and Good Luck; a producer, under his Section Eight film company, of several risk-taking independents such as A Scanner Darkly and Far From Heaven; and the magnetic star of intensely diverse films ranging from Batman and Robin to Syriana gets to bask in the praise from his peers, and blush at the minor roast treatment as well.
Scheduled to appear are co-stars and friends, such as: Matt Damon, Salma Hayek, Morgan Freeman, Don Cheadle, Bonnie Hunt, Richard Kind, Noah Wyle, Ellen Barkin, Julia Roberts, and Clooney‘s new favorite drinking buddy, Danny DeVito.
