Kate Moss Is Back At It

Kate Moss is back— at Topshop, that is. She never went away in our eyes. In case you didn’t hear people shouting it from the rooftops this morning, Kate Moss is returning to Topshop to design a Spring/Summer 2014 collection. The model first partnered with the high street store in May 2007 and remained until 2010 when she left to pursue other career options.

Topshop clearly considers Kate part of their family

Over at BTR, we consider Kate a savvy a business woman who is constantly looking to expand and move forward, so we had to pause to wonder why she decided to head back to Topshop. The model took a three year hiatus from the high street retailer and took many steps to expand her empire in other areas. In her absence Moss was busy collaborating with both Longchamp and Rimmel, and she even found time to squeeze in a wedding to rocker Jamie Hince.

Speculations of reteaming began when Moss vacationed with Topshop founder Sir Philip Green this past summer and today the upcoming collection was confirmed by Topshop. Topshop clearly considers Kate part of their family and it seems like the feeling is mutual. Plus, it’s nice to think that Moss is returning because she genuinely enjoys designing and the work environment at Topshop. The model was quoted saying, “I have really missed being involved in the design process, and working with the team at Topshop. I am very excited to create a new collection… it feels like I’m back home working with Topshop”.

Whether is be loyalty to an old friend or an itching to design again, the world is anxiously awaiting for April 2014 to arrive when Moss’s newest collection is unveiled.
