10 Reasons Season 10 of ‘Supernatural’ Will Be The Best One Yet

Our favorite show about paranormal things (demons, vampires, witches, and a lot more)starts  it’s 10th season tonight! That’s right, Supernatural has been with us since 2005 and it’s still going strong. It might have had some ups and downs over these last 10 years, but we’ve stayed tuned and we think this might just be the best season yet! If you haven’t seen season 9 yet, proceed with caution, as there are spoilers!

1. We get to meet Demon Dean.

Now before you start screaming that Dean becoming a demon is a bad thing, let’s just consider this, he’s made it this far, after dying how many times? Becoming a demon is honestly at the bottom of the list of “Bad Things That Happen To Dean Winchester.” Personally, we’re excited to see if becoming a demon has made Dean snarkier than ever.

2. More Cas.

Misha Collins is a season regular, once again, which means we’re going to get the amount of Case we deserve (hopefully more!). Who doesn’t want to watch an episode where this angel doesn’t get another joke and makes every situation 10x better?

3. Dean and Crowley: New BFFs or something less fun?

Crowley had a huge hand in what happened with Dean becoming a demon. As far as interviews with cast, writers, producers, and exclusives at San Diego Comic Con, the big question seems to be, is Crowley using Dean’s new condition to help himself, or will he actually be a good guy (demon) for once and help Dean out? Either way, the banter between these two is bound to make the season a hell of a lot more interesting.

4. We’re going to see a “darker” Sam and maybe that’s not a bad thing.

After last season, it felt like the relationship between Dean and Sam would never be the same. Sam pretty much admitted he wouldn’t have gone to the same lengths to save Dean, that Dean went through for him. But as we can tell from this season’s trailers and sneak peeks, it looks like Sam is going to take a turn for the dark side in his search for Dean. So maybe he was lying just a little bit about not doing the same for Dean? Hopefully these boys have a very Winchester-y reunion full of angst and laughs.

5. We are getting new monsters!

You probably think we’re seen everything so far. Demons, Vampires, Leviathan, Angels, Werewolves, Reapers, Ghosts, and more. But just because we’ve seen some of the biggest, hardest monsters to defeat, doesn’t mean the show’s creators have run out of the good stuff yet. Far from it!

6. We’re going to get to see Dean sing again.

To some, that might seem like a silly point to make, but if things are going to be as dark as suggested, we’re going to need all the silliness we can get. And Dean singing is just about the funniest, silly thing there is.

7. There is an episode titled “Fan Fiction.”

So, in 2014, most people have heard this term before. If you’re a Supernatural fan, you’ve heard it before in the show a handful of times. But you’ve also probably seen it outside of the show as well. Episode 5, which the air date is TBA (most likely early-mid November), looks like it’s going to take a deep delve into fan fiction. So if you’ve ever written, read, or even glanced at some Supernatural fan fics in the past, you’re in for a treat this season.

8. Things are much more personal in this season.

It’s been suggested that the “Big Bad,” isn’t going to be a monster/evil force trying to bring the Earth to shambles. But instead, it’s going to be a personal road that all of the characters are traveling on. It’s a nice change of pace, because quite frankly, how many more creatures are there out there that have the power to almost take over the world, to only be thwarted by Dean and Sam at the very last minute?

9. For once (in the last 4-5 seasons) Heaven seems to be relatively calm.

Metatron is in jail. Cas is still pretty much in charge, and will have to handle some angelic duties should they arise (and it’s Supernatural, so they will) but as a whole, Heaven is finally just chill. Thank God.

10. Is God finally going to make an appearance?

Season 10 is something to be celebrated. God has been hinted at before in the past. Could this finally be when we’ll meet him? And was he someone we’ve know all along? Looks like we’re just going to have to watch the entire season (and everything they let us have afterwards) to find out.

Don’t forget, Supernatural comes on Tuesdays at 9/8c on The CW! And never forget this motto:
