O’Reilly Attacks Tim Robbins over Iraqi Death-Count Figures

Talk-show titan Bill O’Reilly has attacked movie star Tim Robbins for “misleading the public” about Iraqi deaths.

The O’Reilly Factor host did his homework after activist Robbins appeared on political talk show Real Time with Bill Maher last month and fired up the studio audience with what he claimed was the Iraq War death count.

The peace-loving actor told Maher that U.S. troops had killed 400,000 Iraqis since the war began, but O’Reilly, who famously attacked George Clooney over the distribution of funds following his post-9/11 telethon, has taken Robbins to task.

Speaking on his show on Wednesday, the outspoken TV pundit insisted the Shawshank Redemption star was more than 300,000 out on his claim, pointing out that most experts claim the death count is just over 77,000.

O’Reilly said, “So we know what Robbins is saying isn’t true. We know it’s anti-military… It’s awful, off-the-chart awful.

“However, he (Robbins) does have a right to say what he says, even if he’s misleading the public, even if he’s saying things that aren’t true.”
