Ben Stiller, Foster the People and More Join ‘SNL’ October Line-up

Anna FarisWe just witnessed the return of one of SNL’s most decorated hosts,Alec Baldwin, over the weekend, but now it’s time to find out who we can look forward to throughout October. This Saturday, we’ll see Emmy winner Melissa McCarthy take the stage (where she’ll hopefully show us her signature freaky side) along with musical guest and fellow industry award winners Lady Antebellum. I’m guessing that episode is BYO Trophy.

Also slated for next month is Tower Heist’s Ben Stiller, alongside Foster the People, who you may know thanks to their summer-dominating song, “Pumped Up Kicks.” They’ll hit studio 8H on Oct. 8 and on Oct. 15 Anna Faris and Drake will take on the sketch show. They’ve got a pretty solid line-up of funny people, so here’s hoping for a stellar first month of SNL episodes, and if this weekend’s was any indication, we can certainly expect a few hearty giggles.

Celebrity Editor Kelsea Stahler was born in a pile of dirt. Okay, she was actually born in an old Naval hospital in San Diego, which then became a pile of dirt and remained as such for a number of years before becoming a parking lot perfectly sized for circus tents, and finally a museum. She eventually left San Diego to attend New York University, where she studied Journalism and English literature — two less-than profitable liberal arts degrees about which guidance counselors warned her. Against all odds, she now resides in Brooklyn, where she fights the constant fear that the locals will soon discover she isn’t quite cool enough to live there, and makes a living writing absurd, pop culture features about Batman, zombies, vampires, funny people, and Ron Swanson.
