After a long film career, consisting largely of hanging out with Christopher Guest, Parker Posey seems to be really getting into television acting—at least in guest roles. Recently, Posey has been seen with guest parts on comedies such as HBO’s Bored to Death and NBC’s stellar Parks & Recreation, where she played the snooty rival to ambitious Leslie Knope (Amy Poeher). And now, she’s got a spot on The Good Wife. This time around, she’s got a character with some hefty significance. She’ll be playing the ex-wife of Eli Gold (Alan Cumming).
Cumming’s character has been packed with a backstory involving his broken family. Last season, we met his estranged daughter (Sarah Steele), and now, we’ll finally get to to encounter his former spouse in the form of Posey.
This isn’t the only big story being pumped out in the upcoming season of The Good Wife, which airs Sunday, September 25. The preview reveals a few exciting moments that may hint at developments for Alicia (Julianna Margulies) and Will (Josh Charles).
