Did she do this on purpose? She couldn’t have known that far ahead of time, right? Or did she? Maybe we should have been listening to Beyoncé all along, because clearly she and her marketing team were able to chart months ago for when some radical guy would predict the end of the world and they could release this video. Right? Probably not. But it is just a little funny that days before what Harold Camping claims is Judgement Day, Beyoncé releases a post-apocalyptic video about a dance battle and women taking over the ravaged world. Sure, it certainly seems to take a few notes from Tina Turner’s Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome days as well, but the timing is too ridiculous to ignore. At least if the wrecked future is a place where it’s up to beautiful women to dance the world back into order, we know Beyoncé will be leading the charge instead of Lady Gaga. She can’t be a world leader, she’d use all the raw meat to craft her post-apocalyptic wardrobe. Besides, from the evidence in this video, Beyoncé is a far more proficient dance-fighter. That’s how it works, right? Well, if this video is any indication, when Beyoncé rules the world something tells me that is actually how it will work.
