Why We Loved It So Much: That “Blue” song she did in ’96 was kind of catchy. And we didn’t mind her cameo in our favorite guilty pleasure of 2000, Coyote Ugly. And she has nice….teeth? And, uh, she can sing real pretty.
Now, Not So Much: At this point country singer Rimes is more famous for being an adulteress home wrecker than she is for anything she’s recently warbled. Rimes was caught cheating on her husband of seven years Dean Sheremet, (long rumored to be a bit light in his cowboy boots), with TV actor Eddie Cibrian, who’s also married. And has two kids. Classy.
Celebrity affairs are common, and of course the blame goes to both parties. However, stars caught cheating usually have more interesting things going on than trying to avoid paparazzi while sneaking around Malibu for illicit afternoon trysts. Like their careers. LeAnn’s limelight staying power, however, seems to rely almost solely on her jenky love life. Oh, and she was on the cover of UsWeekly for losing a bunch of weight really quickly. Awesome.
Now that Cibrian has been dumped by his wife, Brandi Granville, who said, “Eddie and I have decided to take some time apart. I want to do what is best for our children. Eddie and LeAnn deserve each other,” it seems Rimes’ formerly off limits lover is all hers. If her personal life drama dies down, her two-timing based presence in the public eye should end too, right?. We hope so. The chick is dunzo.
