Mario movie synopsis 

Nintendo and Illumination Entertainment (who brought you the Minions movies) is collaborating for this animated video game thrill ride. While we don’t know the exact plot of the film, we know it could possibly follow the idea of the beloved video game. In the game, Mario and his brother Luigi team up to save a captured princess.

The cast so far includes Chris Pratt as Mario, Charlie Day as Luigi, Jack Black as Bowser, and Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach. We’ve got a first look at Chris Pratt’s Mario voice via Instagram a while back and we can’t wait to see the rest of the cast and how they portray these characters.

 Where to watch the new trailer

Nintendo of America announced via Twitter that they would be dropping the trailer at 4:05 ET/ 1:05 PT on Thursday October 6. Audiences will be able to watch the movie via their Youtube channel. We’ll update with the trailer below once it goes live.

In the tweet, we get a little tease of how the animated movie will look. We see some familiar places and faces like Toad, the iconic Mario hills, and floating islands. This film is sure to make waves, as the Mario game is a staple in video game history.
