‘Wanted’ Sequel Gathers Steam

5225301.jpgThree years after Wanted first opened in theaters, Universal finally appears ready to move forward on a sequel to the blockbuster action thriller. The Wrap reports that Wanted screenwriters Michael Brandt and Derek Haas have been hired to pen the follow-up to the 2008 film, which was loosely based on the Mark Millar comic of the same name. No word on whether star James McAvoy or director Timur Bekmambetov will return to reprise their respective roles.
