If this doesn’t make sense, I don’t know what does. FX’s fantastic, gritty biker gang drama, Sons of Anarchy, just added king badass himself, Danny Trejo, to its cast. This may be the best idea I’ve heard all week.
Trejo’s multiple-episode arc will find him as Romero “Romeo” Parada who fills Trejo’s bread and butter role: the dangerous badass with inexplicable charisma. He’s a former Mexican military commando and he’ll take a turn as one of the Sons of Anarchy’s many associates. You know this is going to get all kinds of messy and it’s just the sort of kick this show needs.
Season four of Sons doesn’t premiere until September, so it will be a while before we witness this incredible union of awesomeness, but until then, I’ll just keep imagining all the different ways Trejo might kick some ass. On second thought, he might be a little too awesome for TV. They have seen Machete, right?
