A lot of people blame Disney movies for their unrealistic expectations of love. We blame TV. There are certain TV couples who are just so perfect that we can’t help but compare our own actual relationships. Spoiler alert: They never measure up. So, thanks, TV couples, for thoroughly ruining us for real life.
1. Jim and Pam (The Office)

The Casino Night episode when Jim professed his love? Can you even?! Or how about when he proposed in the rain? Perfect!
2. Eric and Tami (Friday Night Lights)

Coach and Tami should be the standard for married couples everywhere. Talk about relationship goals.
3. Leslie and Ben (Parks & Recreation)

The couple that can be nerdy together, stays together. We love that these two appreciate each other’s weirdness.
4. Jamie and Claire (Outlander)

EPIC. So epic. These two have a love that spans time (Literally. Claire’s a time traveler), and they’re super sexy to boot.
5. Luke and Lorelai (Gilmore Girls)

Their bantering and bickering proved they were meant for each other before either of them fully realized it. We want that!
6. Alison and Donnie (Orphan Black)

Basically we just wanted an excuse to post these GIFs. These two are perfect and crazy – and perfectly crazy – for each other.
7. Booth and Bones (Bones)

These two would die for each other, and almost have on more than one occasion. We love that Bones is the logical one, and Booth is the emotional one. They balance each other out.
8. Ross and Rachel (Friends)

A classic. A sitcom romance for the ages. Proof that you can always find your way back to the love of your life (on TV, at least).
9. Cory and Topanga (Boy Meets World)

Not many people can say they met their soul mate in elementary school. Cory and Topanga are still going strong thanks to Girl Meets World!
10. Seth and Summer (The O.C.)

The ultimate opposites-attract romance: Popular girl falls for nerdy guy and unleashes her inner nerd. Captain Oats and Princess Sparkles forever.
11. Veronica and Logan (Veronica Mars)

Yes, Logan was a bad boy with issues, but Veronica was a tough chick with issues, so they worked. And we envied them.
12. Marshall and Lily (How I Met Your Mother)

What we wouldn’t give for a relationship like theirs! They were the most functional – and fun – couple on the show.
13. Chuck and Sarah (Chuck)

Our mission: Have a relationship as cute as these two spies. It may have taken Sarah a while to come around to the idea of dating Chuck, but once she did, it was a match made in spy heaven.
14. Chuck and Blair (Gossip Girl)

Let’s be honest, these two were kind of the best thing about Gossip Girl. And they made us wish we were rich and in love.
15. Cameron and Mitchell (Modern Family)

They’re a hilarious, adorable couple who love each other despite their faults. If we can’t be them, we kinda wish they’d adopt us.
16. Max and Liz (Roswell)

Their romance was intense, but not without its problems. Max was an alien, after all. But they still managed a happily ever after. Sigh…
