Penélope Cruz and Javier Bardem are still married, and we were all wrong in assuming that Penélope’s rounder-looking tummy was one of the “time to replace the ice cream with sorbet, I guess!” variety. It turns out, Penny here is four and half months pregnant!
A representative to the couple confirmed the news to People Magazine not too long after we saw that photo of her with Johnny Depp filming Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides in Puerto Rico, where she was wearing a blousy top that women only wear when they’re using all their energy to grow ten fingers and ten toes at the same time.
Cruz’s four months of pregnancy means she was already with child when she married Bardem this past July in the Bahamas…but it’s totally fine, because we live in a day and age where our President is black (and awesome), and nearly every city has its own cupcake truck.
Since she only confirmed the news four and a half months in, we probably won’t know the sex of the bebe until D-Day. But it’s okay. She could give birth to another North Face fleece craze and I think we’d still all be happy for her.
