Team Dignitas announced in a press release that they have signed the former members of the Selfless Gaming CSGO roster. The all-female team is the first women’s roster to ever be signed by Team Dignitas, now managed by the Philadelphia 76ers, since it was first established in 2003.
The new team is captained by Emmalee “emuhleet” Garrido and includes Amanda “rain” Smith, Mounira “Goosebreeder” Dobie, Carolyn “artStar” Noquez, and Catherine “Cath” Leroux. Heather “sapphiRe” Garozzo will serve as the team’s manager and back-up player.

Created by team captain Emmalee “emuhleet” Garrido in 2014, the roster is no stranger to success in the professional CSGO world. The team recently placed 2nd at the Esports World Convention in 2016 as Selfless Gaming, and placed 1st at the Copenhagen Games Female Tournament in 2015 as Team Karma.
“Our intent is to recruit and develop the most talented players in the world. As a fan-first organization, we were thrilled to sign gamers who have a strong relationship with their fans and have achieved impressive success in international tournament play. We are confident that our squad will represent Team Dignitas’ history of winning in international coed and all-female competitions. Naturally we support the growth of female gamers in the industry, but chiefly saw this as an opportunity to bring premier playing talent into our Team Dignitas family.”
— Jonathan Kemp, Team Dignitas CEO
The newly signed team will make their first appearance as Team Dignitas at IEM Katowice in Poland on March 2nd-3rd. After IEM, the team will compete at the coed Fragadelphia 11 Semi-Professional North American Cup later in June 2017 in Philadelphia.
Team Dignitas confirmed via Twitter that they will be announcing a male CSGO lineup as well.
