Chloe Fineman is officially saying goodbye to Saturday Night Live after spending seven seasons as one of the show’s standout cast members. The comedian and actress announced her departure in an emotional social media post, thanking the long-running NBC sketch series for shaping both her career and personal life.
Fineman revealed that while the decision was difficult, she felt it was the right moment to begin a new chapter. She described her time at SNL as “the greatest privilege” of her career and expressed gratitude to the cast, crew, writers, and producers who became like family during her years on the show.

Joining Saturday Night Live for Season 45 in 2019, Fineman quickly became known for her sharp celebrity impressions. She earned praise for portraying stars including Drew Barrymore, Jennifer Coolidge, Britney Spears, Nicole Kidman, Timothée Chalamet, Meryl Streep, Sydney Sweeney, and JoJo Siwa. Her performances became especially memorable during the show’s remote episodes in 2020, where her impression work helped her stand out while the series adapted to pandemic production.
Reflecting on her experience, Fineman shared that SNL demanded everything from its performers, from last-minute rewrites to intense production schedules. She also joked about the emotional highs and lows of seeing sketches make—or miss—the final broadcast, calling it all part of what made the experience so unforgettable.
Although Chloe Fineman is leaving Studio 8H, she isn’t slowing down. Reports indicate she is in talks to star in Netflix’s upcoming adaptation of Myron Bolitar, signaling the next step in her acting career.
