Tuesday night’s debut of The Downer Channel definitely turned out to be a downer for its producers, comedian Steve Martin and former Late Night with David Letterman producer Robert Morton. The sketch comedy series delivered only a 4.4 rating and a 7 share, the worst ratings of the night for NBC, and in fact the worst ratings for any program airing on the Big 3 networks.
