Welcome to the future folks. Remember the time when a film would get a distribution deal and it would involve a theatrical release followed by a home video release like six months later? Oh how times were simpler.
Rodman Flender (awesome name) made a documentary chronicling Conan O’Brien’s post-Tonight Show tour called Conan O’Brien Can’t Stop. And soon enough you’ll be able to see it in a variety of ways thanks to three companies. First, AT&T will handle the advertising for the film (probably the biggest chunk of the distribution pie) as well as releasing it through their AT&T U-verse TV subscribers. Then they’ll also do the multi-platform thing. Abramorama gets the traditional theatrical release, while Magnolia takes everything else (which amounts to VOD and other home releases).
Got all that? Basically, you’ll have PLENTY of opportunities to watch this documentary. Not that you ever really had to worry about NOT getting enough of Conan.
