‘Don’t Worry Darling’ Now In Theaters: Everything To Know
We’ve lost our cool. Don’t Worry Darling starring Florence Pugh and Harry Styles is finally in theaters, and it’s a wild ride. As audiences worldwide get ready to watch it in theaters this weekend, here is everything we know about the thriller.
What is Don’t Worry Darling about?
Directed by Olivia Wilde, Don’t Worry Darling follows Alice (Florence Pugh) and her life with her husband Jack (Harry Styles) in a 1950’s styled idealized community. While Alice enjoys life with her charismatic husband and luxury lifestyle with the other wives, everything is not as it seems. As the utopia begins to crack, Alice notices some dark and sinister information about their community.
Throughout the trailer, scenes of parties, laughter, and some romantic intimate moments scatter between dirty secrets, hidden agendas, and fear. Florence Pugh’s Alice fights to find the truth, even though it’s dangerous.
Cast of Don’t Worry Darling
Along with Harry Styles and Florence Pugh, the movie stars Chris Pine, Gemma Chan, Olivia Wilde, KiKi Layne, Nick Kroll, Sydney Chandler, Kate Berlant, Asif Ali, Douglas Smith, Timothy Simons, and Ari’el Stachel.
At CinemaCon, Olivia Wilde praised the magic of the cast, and what they were able to create.
“It’s ambitious, but I think we made something pretty special,” Wilde explained. “The movie asks ‘you to imagine a life where you have everything you could dream of. What would it take for you to give up that perfect life? What are you really willing to sacrifice to do what’s right?'”
Olivia Wilde addresses drama surrounding film
At first, Don’t Worry Darling’s press team was smooth sailing. Fans and critics were excited for Olivia Wilde to direct this female-forward film, as she had directed the coming-of-age Booksmart.
Of course, there was some buzzing news from the beginning. Shia LeBeouf, who was originally planned to star opposite Florence Pugh was replaced with Harry Styles. After her split with fiancé Jason Sudeikis, Wilde began dating Styles.
Then, in August of 2022, Shia LeBeouf spoke with Variety, claiming that he had quit vs. being fired. During this back and forth, Florence Pugh had been silent about the film on social media and noticeably absent from press conferences and the New York City premiere.
With all this “he said she said,” Olivia Wilde stopped by The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
“The whole experience has sort of changed my way of thinking about the internet,” she told Stephen Colbert. “But, really, it’s kind of ironic, because all of this is really what the film’s about. The film is about the narratives we are fed and whether we choose to accept them or question their sources.”
While we don’t know for sure who is right or wrong, it’s important to take a step back from the drama and enjoy the film for what it is.

As it should be.
I watched Don’t Worry Darling in a theater filled with Harry Styles stans and it was brilliant. Cheers every time he was on screen. Laughs whenever he struggled with certain scenes. Silence when Olivia Wilde came on screen. Cheers all around for Florence. Best experience ever.
