Twilight Cast: Where Are They Now?

Stars of "TWILIGHT"
Eva Rinaldi

It’s been 13 years since the first Twilight film hit movie theaters! Since then, the vampire craze fully bloomed and faded out of fashion. We’re all still familiar with the careers of the series’ stars, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, but what about the rest of the Cullen clan?

Which supporting cast members managed to make successful careers for themselves post-vampires? Let’s take a look at what the whole Twilight cast has been up to since Breaking Dawn — Part 2 released in movie theaters in November 2012.

Twilight Cast: Kristen Stewart (Bella Swan)

Before Twilight, most people only knew Kristen Stewart as the girl who played Jodie Fosters daughter in Panic Room. K-Stew’s platform shot toward stardom in 2008 when Twilight was released, but it’s not like she’s let her name remain too associated with the mega-franchise. Kristen went to work in the 2010s turning herself into one of Hollywood’s most versatile actresses. In 2020, the Hollywood Critics Association even named her the Actress of the Decade!

Since 2012, Kristen has starred in independent films like Clouds of Sils Maria (2014), Certain Women (2016), and Lizzie (2018), as well as remained in the Hollywood limelight with big-budget crowd-pleasers like American Ultra (2015) and the Elizabeth Banks-helmed Charlie’s Angels reboot (2019). Most recently, Kristen appeared in the 2020 films Underwater and Happiest Season. She also made her directorial debut in 2017 with a short film called Come Swim that was shown at that year’s Cannes Film Festival and Sundance. With two memorable Saturday Night Live hosting stints under her belt (2017 and 2019, respectively), it’s safe to say Kristen is a Hollywood darling by now.

Kristen and Robert Pattinson’s real-life romance ended in 2013, and she has since publicly stated that she is bisexual and that some in the industry had advised her not to hold her girlfriend’s hand in public if she wanted to land more mainstream Hollywood roles. The 31-year-old actress is currently in a relationship with screenwriter Dylan Meyer.

We next expect to see Kristen on the big screen as Diana, Princess of Wales in the upcoming 2021 film Spencer. We think she totally looks the part!

Twilight Cast: Robert Pattinson (Edward Cullen)

Listen, we’re #TeamEdward for life — even if Robert Pattinson isn’t always #TeamTwilight.

Much like Kristen, Robert has also developed into one of Hollywood’s brightest stars since Breaking Dawn – Part 2, engrossing himself in indie flicks and emerging the other end a leading man once more. He worked with Josh Safdie and Benjamin Safdie in the hectic film Good Time (2017), starred alongside Willem Dafoe in Robert EggersThe Lighthouse (2019), and took starring roles in Christopher Nolan’s Tenet and the Netflix film The Devil all The Time in 2020.

All this hard work is paying off for Robert as he angles back into franchise roles: he’s set to portray Bruce Wayne / Batman in The Batman (2022), the first person to don the cowl and save Gotham since Ben Affleck.

Robert has expressed little desire in speaking about his personal life publicly, but he has reportedly been in a relationship with actress and model Suki Waterhouse.

Twilight Cast: Kellan Lutz (Emmett Cullen)

After playing everyone’s favorite big guy in Twilight, Kellan Lutz starred in movies like Java Heat (2013), Tarzan (2013), and The Legend of Hercules (2014), portraying the titular characters in the 2 latter films. He found steady work in film throughout the 2010s and most recently appeared on the big screen in the romantic comedy What Men Want (2019).

Since 2020, Kellan has starred as Kenny Crosby in the CBS crime drama FBI: Most Wanted.

Kellan and his wife, Brittany, welcomed a baby girl into the world on Monday, February 22, 2021. Maybe one day his daughter will give Twilight a watch!

Twilight Cast: Nikki Reed (Rosalie Hale)

Before Nikki Reed portrayed the love-to-hate character Rosalie Hale in Twilight, movie fans knew her from Thirteen (2003). Now, she might be focusing most on her sustainable jewelry brand Bayou With Love, which she reportedly co-founded in 2017.

Nikki appeared in 9 films in the 4 years after Breaking Dawn was released, with notable roles in Empire State (2013), Enter the Dangerous Mind (2013), and sports comedy Balls Out (2014). She has also appeared on the small screen in a 2019 episode of Hulu’s Dollface and in five episodes of Netflix’s V Wars the same year.

The 33-year-old actress married actor Ian Somerhalder in 2015 and gave birth to a daughter in July 2017.

Twilight Cast: Ashley Greene (Alice Cullen)

Unlike some of her co-stars, Ashley Greene wasn’t a big star before Twilight. Since the film series ended production, she has appeared in 12 films, such as CBGB (2013), Staten Island Summer (2015), Shangri-La Suite (2015) in which she portrayed Priscilla Presley, and most recently, Bombshell (2019).

Ashley also held down a starring role for seasons 3 and 4 of the television series Rogue (2015-17). Additionally, she took on a voice role for the video game Batman: Arkham Knight, portraying Barbara Gordon / Batgirl, and has a recurring role in the series Step Up: High Water. The 34-year-old actress recently teased her casting in the upcoming film The Retirement Plan alongside Nicolas Cage, Ron Perlman, Grace Byers, and Rick Fox.

Twilight Cast: Jackson Rathbone (Jasper Hale)

Before Jackson Rathbone was our favorite empathetic vampire, you probably saw him interviewing celebrities on Disney 411. Avatar: The Last Airbender fans may also recognize him (even if they don’t want to admit it) as Sokka in the overwhelmingly panned film adaptation, The Last Airbender (2010).

Jackson, who is also a musician, was a member of the Los Angeles-based funk rock band 100 Monkeys (2008-2012). He has worked sporadically in film and television since Twilight wrapped up, appearing in films like Live at the Foxes Den (2013), Pali Road (2015), and The Wall of Mexico (2019). The 36-year-old actor starred in and executive produced the interactive web series Aim High (2011-2013).

Twilight Cast: Peter Facinelli (Carlisle Cullen)

It looks like Peter Facinelli loved being a hot doctor; he stuck with another medical role as Dr. Fitch Cooper on Showtime’s Nurse Jackie from 2009-2015. In addition to recurring roles on other television shows, like Supergirl (2015-2016) and S.W.A.T. (2017-2018), the 47-year-old has appeared in roughly 10 films since Twilight ended.

Peter’s hands were all over his most recent film, The Vanished (2020), which he starred in, wrote, produced, and directed. In May 2021, Peter shared on Instagram that he signed on to direct an upcoming crime thriller called Headhunter.

Twilight Cast: Elizabeth Reaser (Esme Cullen)

Elizabeth Reaser’s film acting credits have been sparse since she portrayed the Cullen family matriarch in Twilight. She appeared in films like One and Two (2015), Hello, My Name is Doris (2015), and Ouija: Origin of Evil (2016). That last film may have opened more doors in Hollywood for Elizabeth; she reunited with Ouija writer-director Mike Flanagan as a main cast member in the unforgettably scary Netflix series The Haunting of Hill House (2018).

Elizabeth has also appeared in well-loved television series like True Detective (2014), Mad Men (2015), and most recently, 3 episodes of The Handmaid’s Tale (2019).

Twilight Cast: Billy Burke (Charlie Swan)

Billy Burke will always be Charlie Swan (the best dad ever) to us, but for other Hollywood fans out there, he’s taken a number of parts in the years before and after Twilight. From 2012-2014, he starred in NBC’s Revolution and even received a Saturn Award nomination for his role as Miles Matheson. He also starred in the CBS series Zoo (2015-2017) and appeared in films like Divine Access (2015), Lights Out (2016), and Breaking In (2018).

Most recently, the 54-year-old portrayed James Gordon in the animated direct-to-video Batman film, Batman: The Long Halloween (2021). Billy is also a musician and has released two albums.

Twilight Cast: Taylor Lautner (Jacob Black)

Taylor Lautner became one of the highest-paid teen actors during the Twilight years, so it’s not necessarily surprising that he isn’t working in Hollywood too often these days. The 29-year-old last appeared on screen in series 4 of Cuckoo (2018) and played a role in season 2 of Scream Queens (2016). His post-Twilight film credits include a part in Grown Ups 2 (2013), Tracers (2015), The Ridiculous 6 (2015), and Run the Tide (2016).

Notably, Taylor was absent from Robert Rodriguez’s 2020 kids superhero flick We Can Be Heroes, which also served as a de facto sequel to The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl (2005). Taylor played Sharkboy in the original film, and while the original Lavagirl (Taylor Dooley) reprised her role, J.J. Dashnaw appeared in a non-speaking role as Sharkboy.

Robert Rodriguez told Decider that he did call Taylor to let him know about the part, but ultimately it wasn’t a large enough role for the star to participate.

“There wasn’t a big enough role for him to do. It wasn’t about those characters,” Robert said. “It was fine if he couldn’t be in it, because it would draw more attention to it. He became such a big star after Twilight that he would have an expectation.”

Twilight Cast: Anna Kendrick (Jessica)

Twilight caught Anna Kendrick just as her star started to truly shine in Hollywood. Her memorable roles in the critically acclaimed George Clooney film Up in the Air (2009) and cult classic Scott Pilgrim vs. The World (2010) came during the Twilight years, and she has grown into a comedy-musical staple since then with more roles in films like Into the Woods (2014), the Pitch Perfect series, and Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates (2016). Anna also hosted a memorable episode of SNL in 2014.

Most recently, Anna was in Stowaway (2021), a science-fiction thriller available to stream on Netflix in the United States. She also starred in and served as executive producer on Dummy (2020), which originally aired on the now-defunct Quibi and is now streaming on the Roku channel.

Twilight Cast: Christian Serratos (Angela)

Currently, Christian Serratos has a red hot Hollywood TV career. Nickelodeon diehards will recognize her from her pre-Twilight days as Suzie Crabgrass in Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide (2004-07). But more recently, fans of The Walking Dead will know her as Rosita Espinoza since season 4.

In 2020, Christian took on a starring role as singer-songwriter Selena in Netflix’s Selena: The Series.

Twilight Cast: Michael Welch (Mike Newton)

After Michael Welch’s days playing another guy who loved Bella Swan, he appeared in films like Frankenweenie (2012), Hansel & Gretel Get Baked (2013), and The Final Wish (2019). Michael had a main role on the Syfy series Z Nation (2014-2015) and otherwise has appeared as a guest on a number of other shows throughout the years, including a turn as former U.S. president Franklin D. Roosevelt in a 2016 episode of Comedy Central’s Another Period.

The 33-year-old actor appears to be plenty active on social media these days. He even has his own OnlyFans account for any interested Twilight fans out there. 👀

Twilight Cast: Justin Chon (Eric)

After Justin Chon’s days playing Eric Yorkie in Twilight, he studied business at the University of Southern California but ultimately didn’t stray too far from the entertainment industry. After starring roles in films like Revenge of the Green Dragons (2014) and Seoul Searching (2015), Justin turned his attention toward behind-the-camera work. Since 2015, he has served as a writer-director (and often actor, too!) in 4 feature-length films, including Gook (2017) and Ms. Purple (2019).

His most recent effort, Blue Bayou (2021), features him acting with Alicia Vikander. It will premiere to the world at Cannes Film Festival in July 2021.

Outside of the film industry, Justin co-owns a chain of California-based clothing stores and is a member of the K-pop parody group Boys Generally Asian, which also includes well-known YouTuber Ryan Higa. Additionally, Justin penned an editorial piece for NBC News in 2016 concerning his experiences with racism in Hollywood.

Twilight Cast: Rachelle Lefevre (Victoria)

Rachelle Lefevre did not get to play out her role as Victoria within the Twilight films: Summit Entertainment abruptly replaced her with Bryce Dallas Howard for Eclipse, citing a scheduling conflict. Rachelle had signed on for a role in an independent film that started principal photography the very same day as Eclipse. The episode didn’t appear to impact the 42-year-old actress’s career in the long run, though. Throughout the 2010s, Rachelle took starring roles in television shows like Off the Map (2011), A Gifted Man (2011-2012), and Under the Dome (2013-2015).

Most recently, she starred in Fox’s legal drama Proven Innocent (2019) and the Canadian mystery show The Sounds (2020).

Twilight Cast: Cam Gigandet (James)

Cam Gigandet’s Twilight run ended after just the original film— as we all know, James is killed in Twilight’s climactic battle scene.

We’ve seen plenty of Cam since then: he appeared in the teen comedy classic Easy A (2010), The Magnificent Seven (2016), and Dangerous Lies (2020), among a wide variety of other films over the last decade. His most recent work is in 2021’s Tom Clancy’s Without Remorse, which also stars Michael B. Jordan.

The 38-year-old actor appeared in the Audience Network series Ice (2016-2018).

Twilight Cast: Edi Gathegi (Laurent)

Like Cam Gigandet, Edi Gathegi’s character doesn’t last long in Twilight. Laurent is killed off in New Moon and only appears in later films via a flashback.

Edi spent some time with other major franchises in the early 2010s (he played Darwin in X-Men: First Class) and has taken roles in films like Bleeding Heart (2014), Aloha (2015), and Princess of the Row (2019). Most recently, Edi appeared in 2021’s Caged and will appear in the upcoming Netflix film The Harder They Fall.
