Update: It seems Idol voters have had their fill of comedy.
March 29’s results show delivered the bottom three contestants with a surprising addition: Skylar Laine. She joined Hollie Cavanaugh and Heejun Han in the group with the lowest scores, but Ryan Seacrest had good news for both ladies. They’re safe, but Season 11’s resident crack-up has run out of jokes.
While Jennifer Lopez may hold a special place in her heart for Han, the panel ultimately decided there was no room in the competition for the singer. So for now, the Idol Save remains in the holster. Were you surprised to see Han sent home?

Earlier: The hammer is about to come down on one Idol hopeful, but with only nine contestants remaining, the pool of potential castoffs is getting harder and harder to predict.
Elise Testone is a frequent bottom three resident, yet her version of Led Zeppelin’s “A Whole Lotta Love” not only nabbed the prime performance slot, it may have been one of the most rock and roll contestant performances we’ve seen on that stage. DeAndre Brackensick finally stepped it up after failing to connect to the audience for the past four weeks, but is it enough to keep him there? Then there’s little Hollie Cavanaugh, whose grand voice constantly overwhelms her. She’s talented, but in need of polish. And we have Heejun Han, likely the most deserving of the castoff spot, especially in light of his jokey Billy Joel performance. Was his recovery too serious this week? And more importantly, was it strong enough?
With the talent pool this diverse, the results could go in any direction. Who would you send home?
