Jackson to Sue over Damaging Documentary

Michael Jackson is set to resume legal proceedings against journalist Martin Bashir over his damaging 2003 documentary, Living with Michael Jackson, in which Jackson was portrayed as suspect child molester.

The singer walked away a free man June 13 after being acquitted on 10 charges, including child molestation, child abduction and plying a minor with alcohol. It took four months as Jackson fought charges of molesting Gavin Arvizo, then 13 years old, at his Neverland Ranch home in 2003

But now, World Entertainment News Network reports the 46-year-old King of Pop is preparing to do battle in court once again, this time against Bashir and British TV production company Granada, who made the program that prompted the molestation investigation.

The show garnered a whopping 27 million viewers, who all watched Jackson holding cancer sufferer Arvizo’s hand and admit he shared his bed with children, a practice he described as sweet and not at all sexual.

Jackson filed a breach of confidence lawsuit against Granada in February 2003, days after its controversial British screening, but proceedings were put on the back burner when the superstar was arrested for child abuse.
