According to the Associated Press, country crooner Vince Gill has been selected to receive the Country Weekly Career Achievement Award at the June 13 broadcast of the TNN & CMT Country Weekly Music Awards. Said Country Weekly publisher Sheri Warnke: “Vince is a top-notch musician, a loyal supporter of his Nashville hometown and a flag waver for country music and the traditions on which it is built.”
