Survivor host Jeff Probst is about to venture into far more dangerous territory- the land of daytime television. Probst, who was on the shortlist to take over Regis Philbin‘s spot on Live With Regis and Kelly, will instead headline his own daytime talk show for CBS.
Fortunately for Survivor fans, Probst will continue to host the reality competition. Probst’s portion of the show will shoot during the summer haitus for his talk show.
Probst seemed enthusiastic about the new gig. “I’m fascinated with human nature and thrilled that this show willallow me the opportunity to connect with real people and explore their stories on a personal level,” Probst said. “As I continue with Survivor, I am excited to extend my relationship with CBS with this new adventure in the world of daytime.” Probst’s insightful dissection of human nature will premiere fall, 2012.
