Rebel Wilson advert sparks complaints in Australia

A TV advertisement featuring Hollywood actress Rebel Wilson has been named among the year’s (15) most controversial commercials in Australia.
The Pitch Perfect star’s spot for movie streaming service STAN garnered a slew of complaints from unhappy Aussies who were angry about a sexually-suggestive play on words.
In the advert, Rebel is shown sitting in a dressing gown with a cat on her lap waiting to shoot a commercial for the company, and she tells one of the workers, “Can I just say me and my big pussy love it?”
Australia’s Advertising Standards Bureau received 66 complaints about Rebel’s clip, and officials at the organisation have now named it in their top 10 most controversial ads of the year (15).
Rebel’s advert came in at number six in the complaints rundown, behind spots for companies including controversial infidelity website Ashley Madison.
