SOUL PATROL!
The biggest underdog since Clay Akin takes home the highly coveted American Idol title and the McFever epidemic has come to an end. After quite the A-list show, pairing the Idols with some of the hottest names in music like Mary J. Blige and Meatloaf, our favorite grey-haired harmonica player was crowned and sang his heart out. I can’t be the only one who got chills from hearing him sing what will be his first single. And yes Taylor, you do make us proud!
Jose Loses Control
On this week’s episode of the Real World, we finally get to see Jose break out of his shell and tell the roommates what is on his mind. After Janelle questions Jose’s ability as the assistant manager, it seems all the anger he was holding back explodes all over the diva. On the walk home from a night out, Jose lets loose when Janelle yells for the rest of the cast to “hurry up,” leading to an all out war on the streets of Key West between the two. Well hey, at least Paula controlled herself this week–no more shots for her. Per her psychologist, she’s sticking to her Miller Lite and the rest of the roommates couldn’t be happier. I’ll be honest though, the show is so much more fun to watch when she is drunk and belligerent.
Vito Gets Whacked with a Pool Cue
With The Sopranos having only one more episode this year–to be followed up with only eight more episodes beginning in January–things are definitely getting interesting. After Vito stupidly strolls back into town, dumping his New Hampshire honey, Johnny Cakes, Tony struggles with the idea of letting him back in. Unfortunately for Vito, it’s not in Tony’s hands–not if Phil has anything to say about it. Phil and his cronies beat Vito to death with a pool cue, which is then, er, strategically placed. To make matters even worse, Vito’s kids read the newspaper and now know their loving father isn’t a spy and didn’t leave home for work, rather he left home for another man. Poor kids. One week from Sunday is the season finale, which is sure to go off with a bang, literally.
