[IMG:L]Hayden Panettiere, wearing a tight zebra-colored dress, shocked the entire fashion world and surprised every supermodel at a bash following the 12th annual Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.
The Heroes star, who was easily lifted into the air by pal Milo Ventimiglia when he arrived at the after party in the Grand Ballroom atop the Hollywood & Highland Center, put four large chocolate deserts on a plate and merrily ate them while chatting with friends.
That simple human act was almost as startling as the smile on the face of Victoria Beckham, who’s worn a permanent frown/scowl since she arrived in the U.S., when the Spice Girls/Women were wildly applauded after they sang “Stop” while adorned in faux military uniforms. Posh was obviously thrilled that their reunion debut and first public performance since 1998 was better received than Britney’s ill-fated comeback try.
[IMG:R]”We’re so happy to be back together that we’re like young girls again,” Beckham said. “All we do during the rehearsals is giggle and this obviously makes us very happy.”
Unfortunately hot models Heidi Klum, Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Karolina Kurkova and Miranda Kerr were all backstage and missed the Beckham moment in the packed Kodak Theatre. And it looked like Eva Longoria, Stacy Keibler, Ryan Seacrest, Jeremy Piven and other guests weren’t seated at the right angle to catch it. But the cameras at the end of the runway nailed it perfectly and you can witness it on the one-hour special on CBS Dec. 4.
Naturally the surreally sexy clothes and the scantily dressed models were also somewhat titillating and it was hard to miss the $4.5 million Very Sexy Holiday Fantasy Bra Gift Set modeled by Selita Ebanks.
But almost everyone agreed that last year’s show starring Justin Timberlake topped this one. Except perhaps for the “Wedding Day” duet by Seal and wife Heidi Klum, easily the evening’s most applauded model, that led to the longest lip lock in fashion runway history. Is it her voice, her body or her business acumen that keeps Seal so intrigued? Apparently all of the above.
[IMG:L]”What amazes me about Heidi is how she’s able to juggle everything,” Seal said, noting that we can all hear the song on his new album System. “She’s not just a great businesswoman, a wonderful model and a loving mother but she also has time to be a great lover.”
And then there’s the butt crack revealed by Klum, who made her first appearance in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in 1997 at the Plaza Hotel in New York, at the after party. It definitely illustrated that she’s not become a boring grande dame among Victoria’s Secret Angels, even though she and 25 other Angels blessed a star last week on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
“I wouldn’t call Heidi the grandmother of the Angels but she’s a real inspiration for all of us girls,” said 24-year-old Australian model Miranda Kerr. “She’s a very sexy woman, is very intelligent, has an amazing body, is married, has three beautiful children, is an entrepreneur and is a wonderful soul. She not only embodies the Victoria’s Secret image but has also set herself up well for the rest of her life. I’m very envious.”
The 45-minute VS Fashion Show opened with will.i.am, who stood in for a grieving Kanye West, singing the appropriately titled “I Got It From My Mama.” Everyone mouthed “Tell me where’d you get your body from…” as “Animal Attraction” mode kicked off the show. It featured sexy push-ups and panties adorned with feathers, tiger jackets and leopard hoods that prompted giraffe-like models to strut down a runway that extended into the Kodak orchestra decorated with “Victoria Secret” in red light bulbs and “Very Sexy” in yellow light bulbs.
[IMG:R]Then the mode moved into an Age of Elegance, the PINK collection, a Rome Antique mood, a cowboy theme, Surreally Sexy clothes and a Deck the Halls holiday finale that put two dozens of models onto a huge Christmas tree as ornaments.
And what will Seal and Klum do next to top that runway kiss?
“Celebrate Johan’s first birthday next week,” Klum said.
Wonder if Panettiere will drop by for cake…
