For twenty-five years, the American Film Insitute has celebrated everything that is cinema with its annual Los Angeles-based film festival. Now, it’s time for us, as people who live and breathe movies, to celebrate LA’s longest running international film festival with AFI FEST 2011.
This year, the festival will extend from Thursday, Nov. 3 to Thursday, Nov. 10. You can reserve free tickets to all films by logging onto AFI.com/AFIFILM starting tomorrow, Oct. 27.
Present at the festival as a guest artistic director will be Pedro Almodóvar, who has, over the course of the last forty years, brought us genius pieces of film like Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown, All About My Mother, Volver, and this year’s The Skin I Live In, starring Antonio Banderas.
