Chimps Shoot AKs, Play PS3 in ‘Rise of the Planet of the Apes’ Viral Vids

Ahead of the August 5 release of Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Fox has launched a new youtube channel of videos with real-seeming footage of monkeys engaged in activities normally reserved for higher-ranking member of the primate hierarchy. Segments uploaded to the “apeswillrise” channel include “Gorilla Walks Upright,” “Chimp Plays First Person Shooter,” and this charming little ditty, entitled “Ape With AK”:

Crossing my fingers that “Chimp Teaches NYU Course” and “Chimp Hosts Oscars” clips will be uploaded to the channel in short order.
