Eminem will mark a return to the big screen in the 3-D film Shady Talez, Screen reports.
This would be the first film he’s starred in since 2002’s 8 Mile. He will produce the project, which is tipped as a Twilight Zone-meets-Creepshow affair. Shady Talez is also being turned into a four-issue comic book series due out in 2010.
Producing with Eminem (real name: Marshall Bruce Mathers III) are I, Robot producer John Davis and writer-producer Dallas Jackson. Kevin Grevioux is co-writing the screenplay with Jackson and will produce as well.
D.J. Classicz/Davis Entertainment have hired market veteran James MacLean to establish ties with international buyers at the AFM, Screen reports. Domestically, the venture benefits from Davis’ first-look deal at Fox.
Jackson told Screen he was also preparing The Lil Homiez, a cross between Home Alone and The Rugrats, to be directed by Robert Townsend. Bobb’e J. Thompson of Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs is attached to star.
