James Woods Says ‘An American Girl’ Could Get Kristen Stewart An Oscar

Kristen StewartI’m an unapologetic fan of Kristen Stewart. I really think we haven’t seen everything she has to offer and I think eventually she’ll break out with a killer role and will finally be accepted as a “legit” actress. I truly think that. However, even I can’t exactly get behind everything James Woods says about her for the film, An American Girl, in which he’ll be directing her.

Woods says he’ll finally start filming next spring after two years of development hell.

Here are some of the quotes he gave about Stewart. I haven’t seen this much (almost unnecessary) ass-kissing since Michael Scott’s mom accidentally kissed his butt:

-”She’s got a real brain for script analysis.”

-”She’s been terrific from day one up until this very minute.”

-”It’s ‘Coming Home,’ ‘Best Years of our Lives,’ it’s part of that trilogy. It’s a phenomenal story and a slam-dunk Oscar for her.”

-“Her insight into the script was so perceptive and prescient as it turns out that I was overwhelmed with what a true professional and what a true artist she was, beyond her talent.”

Could the film, about a young girl who joins the Marines after an embarrassing and humiliating video spreads through her small town, get Stewart an Oscar? Sure, it could possibly do that, but let’s just get the movie made first, people.
