Just when it seemed Jessica Chastain couldn’t possibly squeeze in another movie to her upcoming schedule, she’s landed a major role alongside Tom Cruise in his upcoming sci-fi movie, directed by Tron: Legacy‘s Joseph Kosinski.
In fact, the most in-demand actress this side of Emma Stone (maybe) will play Cruise’s love interest in the tentatively titled Horizons, about a post-apocalyptic society that lives in the sky.
Following her breakout role in this past summer’s The Tree of Life — and more minor roles in The Help and The Debt — Chastain has signed on for upcoming movies like John Hillcoat’s The Wettest County in the World and Terrence Malick‘s still-untitled Tree of Life follow-up, co-starring Rachel McAdams and Rachel Weisz.
