Seems like Universal has bought the rights to a Washington Post article about a reporter who went through the training process to become a Secret Service agent. Sweetness! This doesn’t sound like too terrible an idea. But this is Hollywood. There has to be something wrong. Let’s see…could it be that Deadline actually managed to inform me of something I didn’t know? Nope, already knew anyone could apply to be a Secret Service agent. Could it be that they hired Greg Poirier to write the script? Well, what else has he written? Hmmm…. National Treasure: Book of Secrets, The Spy Next Door, and Lion King 2: Simba’s Pride. Yep, there it is. There’s the potential disaster.
