One of the few countries in Europe in which Woody Allen has not shot a movie is Germany … until now?
The ridiculously prolific director has reportedly decided to set his next movie, as yet untitled, in Munich on a $25 million budget co-financed partly by the local Bavaria studios.
Such a locale move actually be a somewhat logical next stop on a veritable European tour for Allen, who has recently filmed in London (Match Point, et al.), Spain (Vicky Cristina Barcelona) and France (Midnight in Paris, his most recent movie and the highest grossing of his career), and is currently shooting The Bop Decameron — with Jesse Eisenberg, Ellen Page, Penelope Cruz and Alec Baldwin — in Italy. Hey, Woody, don’t forget about Estonia!
