Dubbed the next Alexa Chung, Angela Scanlon is the newest addition to the UK’s It Girl Elite. She’s so stylish that she’s captured our attention – all the way across the pond! While she’s best known for her gig as a reporter for RTE2’s The Movie Show, she has gained cred in the most discerning fashion crowds for her styling skills in magazines like Vogue Japan. Scanlon describes her signature style as Girl-meets-Man (not boy!) pairing flirty, feminine pieces with tailored menswear (oh, and some killer accessories!). Most recently, Angela rocked the coveted Isabel Marant pour H&M oversized coat with a splash of pink lipstick — and we died a little from jealousy.
Clothes aside, Angela Scanlon is the ginger of the moment. In a sea of blonde and brunette ladies, Scanlon’s copper hued strands offer a refreshing view that sets her apart from the crowd. So much so, that she’s got her own documentary, Oi Ginger, dedicated to the plight of the redhead. We may be a bit bias here, but this trendsetter has stolen our hearts, which is why we wanted to find out what she’s into right now. If she’s into it — so are we.
Beyond The Row: What’s currently on your playlist?
BTR: What book are you currently reading?
AS: Tina Fey’s Bossypants. I adore her and hope to learn something valuable from her wisecracks and attitude! At least a joke…
BTR: What band/musician are you dying to go see in concert?
AS: Hozier. He’s a 19-year old Irish guy with a voice like liquid razors and soul that defies his life experience. His song Take Me To Church is epic and beautiful and dark and kind of tragically wonderful.

AS: The Butler! What a cast and I do love a true story…

BTR: What place is next up on your travel itinerary?
AS: I was in India for a month earlier this year. Next big trip will be North Africa for the colour, safari, outdoor baths and general wowness.

AS: There are so many things wrong with what I’m about to say but I want a NutriBullet! I saw an infomercial and am convinced my life will be incomplete until I have it. That and a Hillier necklace…
