The whole appeal of celebrity-branded clothing lines is to give fans and fashion lovers the opportunity to emulate their style. But what if you could shop directly out of their closets?
Glee star and Dancing With the Stars champion Amber Riley is doing just that with the launch of her new online boutique Rileyland Fashions. A self-admitted clotheshorse, the sitcom star teamed up with her sister to purge their closets of designer goods for other curvy women to enjoy.
The 27-year old singer and actress has always wowed on the red carpet and dressed to show off her best assets, so we’re happy to see she’s not doing just doing a partnership with Lane Bryant. Riley created the boutique after receiving an outpouring of interest from fellow plus-sized women who loved her style and wanted to achieve it.
The initial launch included a small sampling of party dresses, flirty shoes and sequined tops that mixed high brands with low, all at affordable prices. Riley’s store sold out almost as soon as the designs were released, but she issued a statement about restocking the boutique and the website appears to be going through a redesign.
