Apparently, all those movies about babysitting dwarfs and mermaid romances have just been a cover for the real Ron Howard. Previously deemed an old softy, the actor-turned-director is showcasing his true colors — a long dormant alpha male bravado — with his latest feature film, Rush. The movie, a biopic about Formula 1 racecar drivers James Hunt (Chris Hemsworth) and Niki Lauda (Daniel Brühl), has released its first trailer, eliciting levels of adrenaline that even the most rabid of squirrel suitors would approach with caution.
The 2-minute video is bound to take at least a few months off your life, launching you through two crashes, three shots of fire, two passionate kisses, four brooding ruminitions on mortality — these guys just can't stop talking about death! (because death is cool) — all playing under what seems like one continuous engine rev.
