Well, well, well, I guess a movie that makes $300 million at the box office from a $60 million budget is enough to warrant a sequel, which is exactly why we're about a year and a half from the fifth installment of Resident Evil. Considering that last year's Resident Evil: Afterlife was the highest grossing of the franchise (a rare feat for a third sequel), the sequel to the sequel to the sequel to the sequel was inevitable. Now it's just official.
How exactly they plan to live up to the first four is still under wraps but something tells me it will involve blonds with guns, swords, zombie/ninja/robot things, and people throwing stuff toward the camera in 3D. But that's just my guess.
