WESTWOOD, Calif., Apr. 18, 2001 — Tom Green isn’t the title character of Freddy Got Fingered, his first starring film, but he was the center of attention on the green (get it?) carpet at Wednesday night’s premiere at Westwood’s Mann Village Theatre.
Accompanied by his loving wife, Drew Barrymore, Green was joined by his family and his co-stars Rip Torn, Julie Hagerty and Marisa Coughlan as screaming fans hovered nearby.
The film, directed and co-written by Green, follows the adventures of Gord, a loafer who must move back in with his parents (Torn and Hagerty) to chase his dream of being a cartoonist.
