This Slovakian-born head-turner has become a real All-American Girl.
RED-NAMED: Yes, Scarlett is her given name. Her mother loved the book Gone
with the Wind, and in a religious country like Slovakia, where everyone gets
a Christian name, Scarlett’s moniker really stood out. Here in the U.S., Scarlett
stands out, too, but for different reasons.
WHITE HOT: Currently Scarlett’s
starring in UPN’s Freedom (think The
Matrix, but on a much smaller screen) as Becca Shaw, picking up nicely
where Carrie-Anne Moss
left off–complete with requisite skin-tight leather outfits and kick-ass moves
during hand-to-hand combat. (Her best line: “They took away my life. But they
let me live. Their mistake.”) If you don’t watch UPN — and Nielsen says that
many of you don’t — you know her from a Michelob Light commercial. It’s the one
where Scarlett on arriving home thinks her hubby has planned an intimate private
birthday get-together and slips into some more comfortable (VA-VOOM!), only to
be surprised by her entire family — parents, grandparents, et. al. — in the
living room.
MY BLUE HEAVEN: Scarlett told Playboy magazine that
she loves hanging out with musicians, because they are always looking for songs
and inspiration. Now I really hate my mother for not springing for those guitar
lessons.
