How She Did in Our Poll Last Year: Although she’s a brand spankin’ new entry in our poll this year, Liv Tyler has been breaking hearts for quite a while. From the moment she came on the scene in Aerosmith’s music video “Crazy” (with her father, Steven Tyler), young Liv has been working steadily to steam things up on screen in everything from the big-budget The Lord of the Rings trilogy and the blockbuster Armageddon to the independent Stealing Beauty and One Night at McCool’s. But the lovely Liv is off the market, folks–she’s been married to musician Roy Langdon since last year.

Sexiest Role: It would depend on which Liv you’re in the mood for. If you want her as virginal young woman about to discover the joys of sex, then her turn as Lucy in Bernardo Bertolucci’s Stealing Beauty is the ticket; if you want her as an ethereal alabaster goddess, then definitely watch her as the Elven princess Arwen in The Lord of the Rings trilogy. But if you want just plain quirky and sexy, her latest role as the spunky Maya in Jersey Girl does the trick.

Sexiest Scene: Elven, virginal and quirky lust aside, Tyler’s sultry strip tease in Daddy’s music video “Crazy,” opposite bad girl Alicia Silverstone, totally takes the cake–and eats it too.

How He Did in Our Poll Last Year: As with his gorgeous No. 3 counterpart, this is Orlando Bloom’s first trip to our poll, and, may we add, his place is well-deserved. Since being picked out of obscurity to play a key role in the hugely popular The Lord of the Rings trilogy and then starring in the smash hit Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, Bloom has become the hottest ticket in town. Hordes of young females fans search the Internet for any tidbits they can find about their idol, making the dashing Brit one of the most searchable moniker’s out there.

Sexiest Role: Well, duh! Hands down it’s the ultra-cool, arrow-slingin’, long-blonde hair wearin’ Legolas, Middle-earth’s sexiest elf.

Sexiest Scene: OK, this might not be about sex, but watching Legolas single-handedly take down a giant elephantine creature with a bow and arrow without breathing hard or breaking a sweat, in The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King is just, like, the shiznit!

Best Quote: “Before [Lord of the Rings] had started, I was sitting in the hair and makeup trailer having my hairline raised for the wig. As it was being shaved back, Liv [Tyler] came and sat next to me for her wig fitting…I was obviously a bit in awe of her. I turned and asked her what she thought of my new hairline.
