Yet another sci-fi flick based on a short story by Philip K. Dick (seriously, how many stories did this guy write?), Adjustment Bureau stars Damon as a promising young congressman whose attempts to hook up with a beautiful ballerina (Blunt) are repeatedly cockblocked by mysterious circumstances of a possible supernatural origin.
What We Think: Hollywood really seems to be scraping the bottom of the barrel when it comes to Dick’s work, greenlighting films based on jottings he made on post-it notes and dinner napkins, so we’ll take a wait-and-see approach with this one..
Cool to Know: The Adjustment Bureau is the directorial debut for Nolfi, a veteran screenwriter whose credits include previous Damon projects Ocean’s Twelve and The Bourne Ultimatum.
